Pre and Postnatal Massage

Information

Prenatal Massage

While massage during pregnancy just plain feels good, did you know there are many other benefits for the mom-to-be and her baby, too?
A study conducted by Dr. Tiffany Field at the University of Miami School of Medicine showed that massage actually reduces stress hormones in the body. Touch is vital to the mother's physical and emotional well-being as she adapts to her new body image. Regardless of individual circumstances, a pregnant woman's body is challenged, changed and stressed in many ways. Massage gives special attention to the mother-to-be, which in turn nurtures the new life that grows within her.

Benefits of Prenatal Massage include:
  • Emotional support and nurturing touch

  • Relaxation and decreased insomnia

  • Stress relief on weight-bearing joints, such as ankles, lower back and pelvis

  • Neck and back pain caused by muscle imbalance and weakness

  • Assistance in maintaining proper posture

  • Preparing the muscles used during childbirth

  • Reduced swelling in hands and feet

  • Lessened sciatic pain

  • Fewer calf cramps

  • Headache and sinus congestion relief

Cost of Prenatal Massage

Pregnancy massage sessions are charged at an hourly rate. A massage costs $120 per hour either in your own home or at our premises.

Hana Ades

Hana Ades was certified by Protherapist Academy in 2003 and has a way of ‘talking’ to each and every muscle as she massages you. The intention behind her massage and attention she dedicates whilst she is massaging you provides her the edge over all of her competition. Read the feedback comments we have received below:

The best massage I have ever received. Hana's healing hands and deep intuition transport me into a state of very deep relaxation where I feel have breathing space from my thoughts, and I can totally enjoy the present moment. By the end of the massage I feel energised and on top of the world. Both my mother and mother in law have received massages from her, and in both cases, have emerged completely rejuvenated.

At my postnatal massage, Hana was able to help me release a blood clot and could tell it had been passed when she returned the following day! Her hands are so knowledgeable! I could not believe how quickly my body returned to its prior to pregnancy state with her assistance! The Malay wrap is invaluable and her massage is truly heaven.

Many, many thanks for the wonderful way you have been taking care of me during the 10 sessions of the post-natal treatment. Not only you have healing hands but you also have comforting and encouraging words which help so much. Being in Singapore, I heard of the post-natal massages and wrappings and wanted to try. Actually, I have been surprised by all the benefits the treatment offered me. First of all, you helped me getting rid of the tensions due to the birthing and the first days of breastfeeding and managed to relax my body. Secondly, the whole treatment allowed me to get back into shape so quickly… this is not only nice for the body but also very good for the morale! Finally, another great effect of the wrapping was the strength it provided to my lower back, helping supporting my whole back. These sessions were a marvellous moment of relaxation, comfort and just enjoying being taken care of! Thank you Hana for all the caring! Warm regards,
Jessica 2009
